Scholarship

The “MRED Scholarship” is open to all applicants who are involved in the real estate and property development industry and who has aspiration to elevate their knowledge in the property development industry (targeting for instance, real estate agents, surveyors, architects, engineers, etcetera), where two eligible students who intend to study in the Masters in Real Estate Development programme will receive a 50% scholarship for the upcoming September 2022 intake.

REHDA Malaysia MRED Bursary

 

The Bursary is open to all REHDA and REHDA Ordinary Member companies who meets the MRED eligibility criteria from UTAR and eligible to further their study in the MRED programme as a full-time or part-time student. The bursary amount shall cover 50% or 100% of the course tuition fees for the MRED programme.

The scholarship is open to ANYONE who meets the MRED eligibility criteria from UTAR and is keen to further their study in the MRED programme either as a full-time or part-time student (programme academic criteria). The Bursary Committee encourages those from a diverse background of professions that fulfil the university eligibility criteria to apply, for instance but not limited to only (Architects, Surveyors, Real Estate Agents, Valuers, those from the construction and building industry etc).
Eligibility

Criteria

1. Applicants are new students who have been accepted to enrol into the MRED programme by UTAR and must also meet the following criteria to eligible for the

Bursary:

  1. Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field of study with a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.00; and/or

  2. Have a minimum of five (5) years of relevant working experience in the real estate or related industry; and

  3. Fulfil any other academic or professional criteria as may be determined at the discretion of the REHDA MRED Bursary Committee.

  4. Be a permanent employee with at least three (3) consecutive years of service (36 months) in REHDA Group (including any of its subsidiaries or State Branches) or a REHDA Ordinary Member company and shall remain in service with the same organisation throughout the MRED programme.

  5. Not be subject to any termination, suspension or disciplinary proceedings during the period of employment.

  6. Must be recommended by a senior management of the applicant’s organisation.

  7. Must not be in receipt of any other financial assistance, sponsorship or scholarship from any other organisation or agency at the time of application and throughout the MRED programme; and

  8. Required to demonstrate financial need by submitting relevant documentation such as latest salary slips
