What is RIYI?

The REHDA Institute Youth Initiative (RIYI) is a strategic, year-long program dedicated to equipping final year university students (or those who have recently graduated within the last 12 months) with future-ready, highly skilled capabilities for Malaysia’s key industries.

The RIYI programme is in collaboration with REHDA Youth leaders (the youth wing of Malaysia’s Real Estate and Housing Developers’ Association (REHDA)) and supported by various corporate sponsors including Avaland Berhad.

Aligned with the Ministry of Human Resources’ human capital and talent development agenda, RIYI effectively bridges academia and industry through corporate mentorship.

Our goal is to enhance youth employability, close critical skills gaps, and strengthen the national talent pipeline, thereby nurturing the Malaysian leaders of tomorrow. Through robust collaboration with partner universities and industry leaders, RIYI fosters an inclusive and sustainable employment ecosystem, preparing youth to contribute meaningfully to Malaysia’s transformative sectors.
