Rehda Institute is delighted to share with you that we are currently having collaboration with Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) for a Master’s Degree Programme; Master of Real Estate Development (MRED).
MRED programme is the Institute’s aspiration that will accelerate skills and knowledge empowerment amongst the industry’s personnel to ensure adequate talent pool and industry managers. Emphasizes on applied knowledge and skills versus theoretical and academic learning, this programme is designed for the industry with extensive input from REHDA Institute and industry experts to ensure ample applied industry insights.
The details of the programme as below:
Master In Real Estate Development
The Masters in Real Estate Development (MRED)’s first intake began in 2019, where most of them are mid-level management personnel involved in property development. The first cohort graduated in 2022 (where many of them were promoted to senior management roles upon graduation).
In addition to lecturers from UTAR, the MRED is also taught by industry guest lecturers consisting of captains of the industry (many of them are current and former senior management of large public listed companies in Malaysia). Some of the prominent guest lecturers include Datuk Seri Dr. Michael Yam Kong Choy, Datuk N.K. Tong, Datuk Sr. Charlie Chia Lui Meng, Mr. Ngian Siew Siong, Dato’ Pretam Singh Darshan Singh, Ms. Ho Kwee Hong and many others.
Other than upskilling those in the industry, the MRED is a great place to network amongst industry players and captains to create a more vibrant ecosystem in the construction and property development fraternity.
MAIN GOALS
• To provide industry executives, managers and stakeholders to substantial exposure related to the real estate and property developments
• To improve productivity, innovate new ideas towards achieving the highest standards of professionalism and advance best practices for the industry
• To accelerate personal skills and competence for faster transition to senior management role in the workplace or pursuing higher degree

PROGRAMME STRUCTURE :
The programme comprises of a coursework component
(8 core courses & 2 electives) and a project.

Graduates of Architecture, Building and Property Management, Construction Management, Engineering, Land Surveying, Quantity Surveying, industry players and industry stakeholders who wish to upgrade their qualifications and to obtain further knowledge.
