SMART HOME AUTOMATION IN THE AGE OF PANDEMIC
In this digital era, we are very much dependent on technology right from the time we wake up in the morning until before we go to bed. In the past, advanced technologies like home control and automation was reserved for high-end homes and luxury residences. Flash forward to 2021 and you can see that home automation technology is now easily available and accessible to the average consumer as continuous efforts have been made to ensure that smart homes and home automation would soon be within the reach of everyone. On top of that, the increase in the popularity of IoT has widely spread to simple in-home applications and everyday tasks. This gives the inhabitant accesses to certain data in the house and the ability to control some parameters remotely, replacing the old manual systems.
At this present time, many of us have been cooped up inside our own homes for weeks and months in the face of the ongoing pandemic, transforming our living spaces into personal work offices. As a result of that, those who are working remotely in the “new normal” have been investing in upgrades for their homes. Some are looking for new gadgets that are smart, energy efficient, provides convenience and most importantly, affordable.
What consumers initially thought as ‘nice to have’ will eventually become ‘can’t live without’ as consumers will seek the solutions that offer the best alternative for their particular set of concerns, which includes convenience, connectivity and security. From here, developers can personalize digital homes to enhance the homebuyers experience for fully automated home lifestyle & in a way to develop it as part of a smart city with value proposition to attract potential investors/buyers.
Moving forward, how can property developers work with the home automation industry to offer the best smart home features and solutions to consumers in the “new normal”? With that being said, it brings us great pleasure to invite you to participate in the upcoming ‘Smart Home Automation in the Age of Pandemic’ webinar on 30 September 2021 via Zoom platform and listen to key industry figures who will look to share their expertise and experience in the potential of developing a fully automated home experience in Malaysia.
