Foo Jee Gen is the Managing Director of CBRE | WTW. Foo’s experience stems from numerous corporate consultancy exercises including the pre-privatisation exercise of TNB, Kumpulan Guthrie and the initial development of KLCC and TRX. Foo has also successfully brokered multi-million property deals involving MNCs. In his recent involvement in Agency & Transactional Services, Foo was involved in tender exercises for Guthrie Medicare, Gateway 2000 and Bandar Malaysia. Other assignments have been handled notably for Infineon Technologies, TEAC Electronic Japan, Shell Trading, ExxonMobil, Hewlett Packard, Tradewinds Berhad and Manipal University.
Foo is currently the President of PEPS, Vice-President of FIABCI Malaysia, Fellow of RISM, Board Member of BOVAEA, member of RICS and also the Honorary Advisor (Property Consultant) to REHDA (Malacca branch) between 1996-2008.
Foo was awarded the Estate Agent of the Year 2013 by the Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia (RISM) and under his leadership CBRE|WTW was awarded as Best Estate Agency for Specialised Projects at the National Real Estate Award 2016 by Malaysian Institute of Estate Agents (MIEA).
FOO CHEK LEE | President of Master Builders Association Malaysia (MBAM)
Mr. Foo Chek Lee is Civil Engineer by Profession and currently the Managing Director of Pembinaan Mitrajaya Sdn. Bhd. He has more than 37 years of experience in Construction industry servicing both public and private sector. Currently, he is the President of MBAM for the term 2016-2018. He is among the committee member in drafting and formulating the first Construction Industry Safety and Health Master Plan and subsequently his involvement as one of the council member in the National Council on Occupational Safety and Health (NCOSH) for the last two terms (2009 to Feb 2015). Currently he also serves both as a Director in Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) and Construction Industry Labour Exchange (CLAB). Besides that, he is also one of the member for both the Thrust working groups and the Initiative working groups under the Construction Industry Transformation Programme (CITP).
He is also one of the members in the CIDB Committee appointed by Government to look into best practices in Construction Industry after some series of site accidents. His other involvements include serving in various capacities in matters related to health and safety in DOSH and CIDB working committees.
DATUK CHRISTOPHER BOYD | Chairman of Savills
Datuk Christopher Boyd is the Executive Chairman of Savills Malaysia. He is a registered valuer in Malaysia. He has over 40 years’ experience in the country and a further 10 years’ in the UK, Australia and Singapore. Mr. Boyd’s professional career in Malaysia has spanned leading roles in international property consultancies as well as 6 years as the Managing Director of a listed Malaysian development company. His consultancy recently rebranded as Savills Malaysia.
HARESH KHOOBCHANDANI | GM of REA Group for Malaysia and Singapore
Haresh Khoobchandani joins the REA Group team as iProperty GM, Malaysia and Singapore.
Haresh brings more than 20 years of sales and marketing expertise to this position, including extensive experience driving expansion in the Asia Pacific region.
Previously, Haresh was GM Microsoft Business Solutions for Asia Pacific, based in Singapore.
Prior to this, Haresh was MD Microsoft Thailand, where he led its transformation from a primarily on-premise software business to a mobile-first cloud-first company, as well as driving adoption with key customers and partners.
>Haresh has also held leadership positions including COO Microsoft Indonesia, where he oversaw over 30 per cent growth in the subsidiary, as well as senior positions at Microsoft’s Singapore and Malaysia operations, as well as the company’s Asia Pacific Regional Headquarters in Singapore.
Before joining Microsoft, Haresh worked in several industries across the Services, Retail and Distribution sectors gaining valuable experience across different industries.
SARKUNAN SUBRAMANIAM | Managing Director of Knight Frank
Sarkunan “Sarky” Subramaniam has been in the property consultancy industry for 27 years since 1989. A predominant part of Sarky’s career has been in valuations and research, conducting corporate valuations and litigation based valuations as an expert witness as well as market and feasibility studies for development consultancy.
Sarky’s foray into corporate agency and investment sales for the last 8 years culminated into several notable cross-border commercial deals for Malaysian sovereign funds and sizeable relocations of prominent multinational companies (MNCs).
In 2013, Sarky took on the role of Managing Director of Knight Frank Malaysia where to-date his role includes overseeing the full spectrum of *service lines in the firm which consists of the KL HQ and respective Johor, Penang and Sabah branches.
TAN SRI DATUK EDDY CHEN | President of Building Management Association of Malaysia, BMAM
Tan Sri Datuk Eddy Chen is past-President and Patron of REHDA Malaysia, Trustee of REHDA Institute and has more than 32 years of experience in the property development and construction related businesses sector.
Tan Sri is currently Managing Director of MKH Berhad and is also actively involved in many associations and causes including President of Building Management Association of Malaysia (BMAM), President of Malaysia Shopping Malls Association (PPK) and many others.
ALAN TAN | Chief Economist of Affin Investment Bank
Alan Tan is the Chief Economist at Affin Hwang Investment Bank, a post he has held since 2008. His main responsibilities are to provide reports on macroeconomic analysis and forecasting, as well as regular presentations on the Malaysian economy for institutional clients. He is frequently quoted in national newspapers and publications, as well as frequent invited speaker at forums and conferences in Malaysia. He started his career as an economist with RHB Research Institute Sdn Bhd from 1991 to 1998.
From 1999 to 2007, Alan worked as a Research Manager at Pengurusan Danaharta Nasional Bhd, the country’s national asset management company, and later at Prokhas Sdn Bhd, a company wholly owned by the Ministry of Finance, Malaysia. Alan has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (BBA) and Master’s degree in Economics (MA) from the University of Memphis, US.
LEE HENG GUIE | Executive Director of Socio-Economic Research Center (SERC)
Lee Heng Guie had 30 years of professional experience as an economist, with almost 12 years in Bank Negara Malaysia and 18 years in financial services. Since 2002, he was the Head of Economics Research with CIMB Investment Bank Berhad before retiring in May 2014. He supervised a team of five economists covering global and regional economies. Currently, Mr. Lee is a guest writer for Focus Malaysia.
On 1 July 2016, Mr. Lee is appointed as the Executive Director of Socio-Economic Research Center (SERC), an independent research center. SERC is funded by the donors from The Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (ACCCIM).
Mr. Lee served in the Economics Department of Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) from 1984-1996. His responsibilities as Senior Economist and Assistant Manager included policy formulation in areas related to the balance of payments, manufacturing, construction and investment sectors. He also participated actively in BNM’s research policy work and co-authored the publication of discussion papers and BNM’s Annual Report articles.
Mr. Lee then worked as an economist with M&A Research from 1996-1998 before moving on to be Chief Economist with HLG Securities until February 2002. He was Head of Economic Services Unit in Hong Leong Bank before joining CIMB Securities (Research) as the Head of Economics in October 2002.
Mr. Lee is the recipient of many awards: He was voted “Best Economist” in The Edge Polls twice and ranked top 3 four times from 2000-2008; “Best Economist” by the Asset Magazine Hong Kong- Local Currency Bond Market of Malaysia in 2007. He also led CIMB Macroeconomic research to be ranked among top 3 for nine consecutive years (2005-13) in the Asiamoney Polls.
Mr. Lee hold a BA (Hons) majoring in Economics from University of Malaya, Malaysia and a Master’s Degree in Development Economics from Williams College, USA.
DATUK HAJI HAMIRULLAH BOORHAN | Association of Banks in Malaysia
YBhg Datuk Hamirullah Boorhan is the Senior EVP and Head, Community Financial Services with responsibilities covering Consumer Finance, SME and Business Banking, Virtual Banking, HNW and Affluent Banking, Channel and Branch Network of Maybank Malaysia. He joined Maybank upon graduation in 1985 and had wide and indepth management experience covering almost the entire bank over the past 27 years.
He is a Director of Maybank Cambodia and sits as a member of the Audit and Risk Committee Boards. He also served as the Honorable Secretary to the Association of Finance Companies in Malaysia (AFCM).
He graduated with a Diploma in Accountancy from Institut Teknologi Mara and an MBA from International Islamic University. He is also a Certified International Retail Banker by London Executive Management – International Academy of Retail Bank.
JACOB LEE | Vice President of Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers (FMM)
Mr Jacob Lee graduated from University of Guelph, Ontario, Canada in 1984, a degree holder in BSC (Honors) in Engineering.
He is the Managing Director of Asli Mechanical Sdn. Bhd and Maple Steel Sdn. Bhd. He is also the Vice President of the Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers.
He is actively involved in the charity work as Chairman of Methodist Crisis Relief.
DANNY TSEN | Deputy Managing Director MCC Overseas
With extensive regional experience in engineering and construction, Danny Tsen joined MCC as Deputy Managing Director. Since then, he has been spearheading the expansion of the business in South East Asia and driving a number of JV partnership between MCC and local companies.

JASON FU | Regional President of Country Garden Group Malaysia
Mr. Fu Jinling (Jason FU) was appointed as the President of Country Garden Group in Malaysia on September 2015. He graduated from Tsinghua University with Degree in Civil Engineering and subsequently obtained a Master of Business Administration from University of Dubuque.
Mr Fu has almost 20 years of working experience in property development and construction industries, both in China and South East Asia, including stints in Beijing Advanced Property Development Company, Tishman Speyer, and Star Engineering Pte Ltd prior to joining Country Garden group.
