Dato’ Ir. Dr. Gue See Sew D.S.P.N. D.S.M | Managing Director (Founder) | G&P Geotechnics Sdn Bhd

Dato’ Ir. Dr. Gue See Sew graduated from three universities; Diploma in Civil Engineering from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, First Class (Honours) Degree from University of Strathclyde, UK in 1979 and Doctorate from Oxford University with Kuok Foundation Scholarship. He was the President of the Institution of Engineers, Malaysia (IEM) (2001 to 2003) and Chairman of the Penang Hillsite Advisory Panel (2011 to 2012). Currently, Dato’ Ir. Dr. Gue is now the Managing Director of G&P Geotechnics Sdn Bhd, a geotechnical consulting firm and Chief Executive Officer of G&P Professionals Sdn Bhd, a one-stop engineering specialist consultancy group with a staff strength of 250.

Ir. Yap Keam Min | Managing Director (Founder) | Stresscon Piling Pte Ltd

Ir.Yap Keam Min graduated with a B.Sc(hons) in civil engineering at the University of Southampton,England in 1976. He is a fellow of the Institution of Engineers Malaysia, a fellow of the Institution of Engineers UK , a fellow of the Institution of Engineers, Australia ,a member of the Institution of Professional Engineers New Zealand and a member of NZ Society for Earthquake Engineering. Ir.Yap is the founder of Stresscon Piling Sdn Bhd in 1989, a company involved in the manufacturing of small sized prestressed concrete piles designed to replace timber piles in Malaysia. Since 2007 he has been in New Zealand studying earthquakes and was involved in the assessment of buildings after the 2010 and 2011Christchurch earthquakes under the NZ Institution of Professional Engineers. He is an experienced foundation engineer, a structural engineer, a piling contractor, a pile manufacturer, forensic engineer and was an open cast tin miner.

Ir. Tan Yean Chin | President | The Institution of Engineers, Malaysia (IEM)

Ir. Tan Yean Chin is a Professional Engineer an Accredited Checker (Geotechnical) registered with the Board of Engineers, Malaysia (BEM). He obtained his Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering with First Class Honours from University Technology Malaysia (UTM) in 1992. Tan is the President of The Institution of Engineers, Malaysia (IEM) and Board member of the Board of Engineers, Malaysia (BEM). Ir Tan currently is the Senior Director in G&P Professionals Sdn Bhd, a multi disciplines engineering consulting firm. He has published more than 70 technical papers on geotechnical engineering in local and overseas conferences and seminars. Ir. Tan is the Chairman of the Committee on Professional Practice at Board of Engineers, Malaysia (BEM) and the Chairman of the CIDB Working Group for drafting of Construction Industry Code “Safe Use of Scaffolding in Construction & “Safe Use of Falsework in Construction”.

Ar. Steven Thang Boon Ann | Council Member | Malaysian Institute of Architects [PAM]

Ar Steven Thang Boon Ann is currently PAM Council Member and Chairs the ADR Committee and Co-Chair both the Practice Committeeand Conservation Committee. He also chairs the PAM Contract 2006 Review sub -committee. He has appeared many times in courts as anexpert witness, and serves as advisor to parties that are seeking legalredress. He represents PAM and chair several technical committeesin SIRIM and CIDB.Ar Steven Thang is a certified Adjudicator, certified Thermographer and a registered building conservator.
